E-newsletter advertising

Communicate your message to regular HFG users. A week's worth of tasty meal ideas are delivered to thousands of email subscribers twice a month, along with ask the experts Q&As, competitions and giveaways.

Choose from:

  • Inclusions: $2,000

  • Skyscrapers: $1,000
  • Text links: $200
  • Solus emails*: $4,300 

*Note: Solus emails include an $800 non-commisison bearing production cost in the quoted rate.

Display advertising

  • Ad size: Skyscraper (160x600) or Banner (728x90), subject to availability
  • Location: NZ only browsers, delivered evenly ROS
  • Rate: $30 CPM
  • Island/medium rectangle ads (300x250), located below the fold, are $15 CPM

Notes

  • Minimum spend of $1,000 applies
  • Standard display .swf and .gif file size must be <40kb OR please provide a 3rd party ad server tag.
  • Non-standard creatives (rich media) and file sizes >40kb must be served through their own 3rd party ad servers including polite downloading such as Facilitate or Eyeblaster. EG Videos, expandables, floating layers.
  • Additional costs apply for non-standard creative, eg. expanding banners, floating layers/eyeblasters, polite loading banners
  • Time and day targeting may be available

Advertorials and branded recipes

Subject to nutritional criteria, you can integrate recipes using your branded products directly into the recipe section. Please contact us to discuss nutritional criteria before booking.

Basic package:

  • 1 month: $500
  • 12 months: $1,500
  • Production cost*:  There is a one-off, non-commission bearing cost of $300 per advertorial and up to $600 per recipe for production.  

*Note: There are no production costs associated with booking a recipe advertising promotion that has already been published in Healthy Food Guide magazine or website.

Free samples

Free samples* can be offered via the website, the magazine and the editor's e-newsletter.

Basic packages:

  • Print & website: $2,500 per month, per sample offer
  • Website only: $2,000 per month, per sample offer

*Note: The advertiser will be supplied with an Excel spreadsheet with respondents' details at the end of the campaign. It is the responsibility of the advertiser to mail the samples to respondents within one week of receiving the data.

Categories include 'Find a' nutritionist, specialty product, farmers market, specialty store etc.

Premium directory listing

Premium listings* give you a page in our website to showcase your business/products. Your page includes copy (recommended length of 200-400 words), images (subject to image size constraints), contact details and links to your email and website address.

  • 1 month: $400
  • 12 months: $1,200

Note:

  • Rates apply to finished artwork supplied in correct specs and formats.

  • Rates are exclusive of GST and are quoted in $NZ.

  • Standard commissions apply for all accredited advertising agencies for direct client payment in full by 20th of the month following publication.

  • Healthy Food Guide reserves the right to accept or reject advertising material.
