
Toddlers with diets high in processed foods may have a slightly lower IQ later in childhood, according to the largest British study of its kind.
Children following a diet high in processed fats and sugars had an average IQ five points lower than children who followed a diet filled with fruit, vegetables, pasta and rice. While more research is needed, the study reinforces the perceived link between IQ and nutrition.
