The first step is out of the way. You’ve bought your copy of this year’s Kick-start Plan and you’re holding it in your hot little hand. This single act shows a desire to make your health a priority and that’s something to feel good about, especially if that has been on the back-burner for a while.

I think most of us want to take better care of ourselves, but sometimes we lose our way. We get too busy, our loved ones’ needs are put ahead of our own, or our inner critic doesn’t think we deserve to be healthy and happy.

But that’s okay. You’re here now and all this time you’ve actually been accumulating valuable knowledge that will help you be better at making healthy changes that you can stick to. You know better than anyone what you need to do, what your sticking points are, what habits you need to replace and what derails you when things get tough.

This is your opportunity to hit the reset button and restore yourself to your best, bit by bit replacing your not-so-healthy habits with ones that are good for you.

This isn’t something you can fail at. Every hurdle or setback is simply an opportunity to get a bit wiser. All you have to do is keep going. Celebrate your successes, pause to enjoy your food, take support from other Kick-starters via your closed Facebook group, learn to love your veges, and move your body every day, and I guarantee you’ll feel better for it.

The Kick-start Plan 2017 is designed to be easier than ever, with weekly meal and exercise plans, shopping lists and motivating emails to keep you going. The first four weeks of plans and shopping lists are in this booklet. The remaining eight weeks will be in your Kick-start Motivator emails, or you can simply reuse the plans in this booklet.

For those of you who are meat free, your vegetarian plan is in your first Motivator email, so make sure you are signed up (see below). Keep an eye out in the November and December issues for bonus Kick-start content.
