Perfect low-FODMAP dinners to keep you warm this winter

If you are feeling stuck in a rut with your dinner recipes, then it is time to get creative in the kitchen and whip up some of these delicious low-FODMAP meals, perfect for cooler months.

1. Spicy lentil soup

Who doesn’t love a bowl of hearty soup on a cold winter’s night? This spicy lentil soup is the perfect way to create a vege-packed meal even your kids will love. This recipe is low FODMAP as it uses canned lentils which are drained and rinsed to lower FODMAP levels.

2. Chinese chicken thighs with sticky rice

Tray bakes are lovely in the winter as all you have to do is chuck the ingredients in the pan and pop it in the oven. After an hour of cooking, succulent chicken thighs and sticky soy maple rice will be waiting for you.

3. Savoury vegetable frittata

Frittatas are an awesome way to use up leftover roast vegetables, or to use seasonal winter vegetables like buttercup squash, courgette and spinach.

4. Simple lamb stew

It’s always a comforting thought knowing you are coming home to a perfectly cooked slow-cooker meal. These are wonderful on busy weeknights or on lazy weekends. One of my favourite slow-cooker recipes is this simple lamb stew.

5. Korean Bibimbap

Short on time? Then this low-FODMAP Korean bibimbap is for you! This recipe only takes 15 minutes to prepare and is packed full of calcium and iron.

6. Seared steak with maple mustard sauce

Steak is always a crowd pleaser in my household. Pair it with some roast veges and a tasty maple mustard sauce, and you will have a delicious meal in under 35 minutes.

7. Sweet red capsicum soup

This red capsicum soup is slightly sweet, slightly spicy and a whole lot of deliciousness. Have it for dinner or take it work in a thermos.

8. Minestrone soup

This soup recipe will have you licking your bowl and it is so easy to make. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

9. Pesto chicken tray bake

Pesto baked chicken breast served with truss tomatoes, green beans, carrot and baby spinach… who said the low-FODMAP diet was boring? This recipe even teaches you how to make low-FODMAP basil pesto.
